Requirements Macmillan Learning is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Intern located in their New York, NY office. The Spring intern will work 20-24 hours per week starting in January of 2019. This individual will support the Director of Digital Marketing, Executive Digital Marketing Specialist, and Senior Product Manager with several key projects including our college and high school instructor catalog redesign, student store campaign, and product load. This individual will work directly with our various content management systems and platforms that support our e-commerce and catalog sites. Additionally, the Digital Marketing Intern will collaborate on and support our integrated marketing campaigns through the creation and maintenance of our campaign assets as needed. As part of the digital marketing team, the Digital Marketing Intern will contribute toward creating a positive customer user experience for instructors and students interacting with our marketing content and digital platforms. Major Responsibilities: Instructor Catalog Redesign Support: o Assist with the content migration from Ektron to Hybris for existing content including migrating callouts, custom tabs, and microsites for our college and high school catalogs. o Create new content as required for the new catalog including callouts, custom tabs, and microsites for our college and high school catalogs. o QA content on the new college and high school catalogs prior to go-live in March. Macmillan Learning Student Store Campaign Support: o Create student-facing blog post content in Macmillan Community for use in the Spring 2019 Student Store campaign o Provide other campaign support as necessary New Product Load to the Catalog: o Assist with populating marketing content and title information in Klopotek for new products launching on the instructor catalog, www.macmillanlearning.com o QA new products to ensure they have pushed live to the catalog properly and to ensure accuracy of the product information Digital Marketing Campaign Support: o Assist digital marketing specialists in the creation of campaign assets for fall semester (i.e. emails, microsites, catalog content) o Support digital marketing specialists in requesting new assets via request forms and route assets as needed Required Skills / Knowledge: Basic HTML knowledge a plus Interest in digital marketing and keeping abreast of trends in the industry Team oriented with a positive can-do attitude Takes initiative to support new projects/tasks and learn new skills Comfortable learning new technologies including content management systems Strong project management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively across departments and teams Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Google Suite (e.g. Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets) Strong organizational abilities Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently Creative and strategic thinker Educational Background Required: Currently in college or recent 2018 graduate
