    JOB SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for accurate and timely posting of payments from insurance, patients, third party, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. They are also responsible for supporting the mission, vision and values of Upstream Rehabilitation.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education - High school diploma or equivalent
    • Previous experience in the healthcare field.
    • Preferred current knowledge of business operations and processes.
    • Experience reviewing and posting payments from Explanation of Benefits. Experience ensuring that all current months & deposits are posted and balanced within the current month.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Working knowledge of medical Explanations of Benefits.
    • Working knowledge or ability to learn company standard programs.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with others within the business office.
    • Ability to examine processes, polices, and problems, and offer solutions.
    • Have an overall positive and supportive attitude of yourself, your team members, and the company.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Prefer experience in the healthcare industry.

     JOB FUNCTION:

    • The primary responsibility of the person will be to manually and electronically post payments per the Explanation of Benefits
    • Balances all posted payments to the deposit at the end of every calendar day
    • Provides corrections or adjustments when necessary
    • Provides excellent service to co-workers and customers. Provides feedback concerning quality and process improvement for leadership.

    • Must be able to climb and work comfortably in high positions up to 80 feet off the ground.
    • Able to communicate over headset and radio.
    • Must be able to stand or sit over long periods of time.
    • Must be able to move about, climb, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, push, and pull.
    • Must have good manual dexterity and be able to operate electrical and electronic audio and lighting equipment properly.
