Internal Audit Intern Finance/Accounting San Luis Obispo, California Description The internal audit intern will support the internal audit staff in performing testing of internal controls and documentation of business processes. The internship experience at MINDBODY will provide you the opportunity to experience a corporate finance structure from an audit perspective while also learning about the operations across the fast-paced organization. Internship to run for 9-12 months, 10-20 hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: * In pursuit of a bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related fields (equivalent work experience can be substituted for college experience) * Accounting I & II have been taken and passed * Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at once * Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a diverse group * Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiated effectively and professionally both internally and externally * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Support internal audit team with testing and documentation of internal controls * Develop financial auditing, accounting, and general analytical skills * Apply critical thinking to processes and documentation and discuss questions with internal audit team * Build successful relationships with control owners * Work within auditing software on a daily basis Assist with departmental projects as needed
