Market Research Intern Product Development San Luis Obispo, California Description MINDBODY is looking for a Market Research Intern in our San Luis Obispo office to join a creative and collaborative team of UX and market researchers who are helping to shape the best possible experiences for MINDBODYs existing and future customers. JOB SUMMARY: The Market Research Internship is a part-time position expected to take place over a 6-month period to support the academic growth of a CalPoly student interested in the Market Research field. The intern will gain practical, hands-on experience in various primary and secondary research methodologies, working out of the MINDBODY SLO office for 20-25 hrs/per week on a set (but flexible) schedule. As a Market Research Intern, you will support the Research and Insights team in conducting primary research via online surveys, phone interviewing, focus groups, etc. Our research spans from discovery to evaluation; and you will draw on your quantitative research skills and statistical analysis abilities to provide MINDBODY with information and insights. * You will learn and use a variety of marketing research methodologies, learn effective survey design and survey programming * You should be very comfortable working with data including analyzing data, summarizing data, and creating compelling graphs / tables * You should be passionate about technology, the wellness industry and enjoy collaborating with others, and be committed to continuously learning and evolving MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: * Currently enrolled as a third year or (early term) forth year college student. Earning a degree in economics, math / statistics, market research, business administration or related degree * Strong analytical skills and critical thinking abilities * Experience using Excel, SPSS, SAS, and/or R * Experience in quantitative and / or qualitative research is highly desirable * Be incredibly organized and capable of juggling multiple projects at the same time
