Job Description Position: Phone Operator Location: North Hills, CA Status: Full-Time/Non-Exempt (40hrs/wk)
We have an immediate opening for a full time experienced PHONE OPERATOR/APPOINTMENT SCHEDULER/CONFIRM PATIENT APPOINTMENTS for a medical clinic. We are looking for a friendly, hard working individual to work in a call center environment.
Phone Operator position consist of placing, answering, and transferring calls; and providing general information. Work is complex involving public contact on the phone directing internal calls to corresponding recipient/s. Assist in medical appointment setting, verifying demographics, insurance and appointments, rescheduling appointments on clients request or under operational circumstances. Forwards clients questions/concerns/complaints to designated management.
Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: • excellent phone skills • ability to multi-task and able to manage high volume of calls • ability to manage proper workflow of switchboard and assigned responsibilities • able to perform tasks and projects effectively and in a timely manner • perform any and all duties called upon by supervisor • ability to communicate effectively in ENGLISH AND SPANISH*, *A MUST • MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF SWITCHBOARD EXPERIENCE • basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & Internet) • must have the ability to learn quickly • must be dependable and willing to work hard • ability to be flexible (Monday through Saturday) 40hrs/wk • must have current driver license, insurance and own reliable transportation • must have strong clerical skills • with knowledge in customer care • with experience in healthcare services • with knowledge of insurances: Medical, Family PACT, CHDP, MHLA, is preferred) • Ability to pass Basic Clerical Skills Test
Education:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT, HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA FROM AN ACCREDITED FROM WASC.
