Mood Fabrics seeks a Notions Buyer to manage purchasing and inventory of notions products throughout our retail locations. The Buyer will be responsible for communicating with staff at all three of our retail locations as well as our online team on a regular basis in order to ensure continual inventory of crucial notions. The Buyer will also be responsible for holding inter-company relationships with suppliers, working with sales associates to meet customer product needs, and organizing financial documentation associated with notion orders.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor in-store inventory to replenish stock as needed.
- Manage ongoing relationships with notions producers and other suppliers
- Source essential supplies from a variety of vendors to maximize cost and efficiency
- Coordinate with sales associates and other buyers to meet customer needs on a walk-in basis
- Organize all paperwork related to purchasing activity including invoices, PO’s, etc.
- Coordinate with stock associates to pick up and process local orders
- Receive and process all national and international trim and notion orders.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience with a Point of Sale (POS) system or inventory management system of some kind.
- Fluent in Google Suite
- Demonstrated follow-up on long-term processes
- Comfort multi-tasking working in a fast-paced environment
- Some familiarity with sewing, and/or garment design and construction
- Some retail experience a plus
