MSC Software is part of Hexagon, a leading global provider of information technologies that drive productivity and quality across geospatial and industrial enterprise applications. We are looking for an intern to join our Smart Factory team in developing, testing, prototyping, deploying the Smart Factory platform and solutions to the Cloud environment. Additionally, this intern would support Smart Factory development and deployment of the Smart Factory platform to a customer on-premises environment (our current cloud development tooling is based on Microsoft Azure DevOps and our cloud provider is Microsoft Azure). Responsibilities: Assist in the development, prototyping and testing of Smart Factory solutions and platform such as back end component, UI component framework, deployment processes, etc. Explore Azure CLI for automation Work on Azure stack with AD/IAM, and other 3rd party connectors such as Salesforce, etc. Assist in configuring Product Development operations & tooling, including DevOps workflows, deployment processes to Cloud environments (currently Microsoft Azure) and support release activities. Develop quality assurance tests, procedures, benchmarks and documentation for new configurations; documenting setup and maintenance procedures. Perform specific end-to-end tests. Must ensure product meets high standard of quality set by the Product Development, Quality Assurance and Product Management teams. Report issues/defects/bugs, problems/enhancements and determine protocols and methods for addressing issues related to system. This position may be required to work outside of normal office hours based on business needs. Strong attention to detail is required. Other duties as assigned. Requirements College Junior or higher working towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mechanical Engineering with some relevant knowledge or other related technical field is required (equivalent work experience may be substituted for education) Minimum of 2 years of course work in engineering or computer science &/or Information Technology Experience working with cloud environments (Microsoft Azure or other) &/or working with web based technologies is highly desirable Experience with Microsoft DevOps preferred but not required. Familiar with coding practices in a variety of languages including but not limited to C#, .NET Core, Java, Experience with UI/UX frameworks and tool kits is desirable Ability to learn new software and systems quickly Proven skills using critical thinking, problem solving and technical documentation. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Must be self-motivated, organized and able to work independently. Experience with Microsoft Office software tools. Experience in Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
