The Fraud Analyst is responsible for examining moderate to complex
account activity utilizing various propriety and industry tools to
detect and prevent fraudulent activity and identify opportunities to
enhance fraud prevention rules and strategies. Responsible for creating,
testing, and implementing fraud prevention rules to prevent future
occurrences while minimizing the impact to legitimate customers.
Responsibilities include: * Monitor constantly customer and
transactional records to identify unauthorized transactions and
fraudulent accounts. * Approve or hold orders in accordance with
pre-established fraud rules. * Assist with the maintenance of detailed
records, analyzing trends and communicate potential risks as they arise.
- Investigate all cases of actual or suspected fraud and non-compliance
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data. * Serve
as a critical team member during investigations through data gathering,
analysis, and reporting. * Determine existing fraud trends by analyzing
accounts and transaction patterns using internal systems and 3rd party
fraud tools * Identify potential vulnerabilities, outliers, and/or gaps
in process, systems, and/or operations through data analysis. *
Responsible for research and analysis of account activity to assess
levels of risk and fraud * Monitor fraud alerts, provide data analysis
to support resolutions and lead fraud recovery processes * Manage
project strategies including monitoring project processes and results *
Review queued transactions and independently determine if the
transactions are fraudulent or legitimate * Constantly monitor
marketplace transactions for abnormal behavior * Maintain fraud analysis
models to improve efficiency and effectiveness of company systems *
Determine existing fraud trends by analyzing accounts and transaction
patterns using internal systems and 3rd party fraud tools * Resolve
disputes and chargebacks * Be able to compile and provide evidence for
the resolution of Chargebacks. * Assist customer service representatives
with customer inquiries or issues regarding online ticket orders. * Must
be able to interface with guests and operations team during
investigative process. * Work closely with other members of the team to
continuously improve internal processes and tools to address fraud
trends. * Perform other projects as assigned Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent * Minimum 2 years experience in
e-commerce fraud and payments environment * Able to maintain a
consistent rate of productivity under pressure * Detail oriented with
strong organization and communication skills * Flexible schedule to meet
the needs of a 24/7, 365 day a year operation * Must be able to maintain
confidentiality * Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
and walking/traveling to multiple venues throughout the day * Some
travel may be required Desired Characteristics * Knowledge of payment
processing and credit card industry regulations * Strong verbal and
written communication skills * Strong analytical skills and the ability
to handle multiple tasks at the same time * Strong proficiency working
with web browsers and web based tools * Ability to work independently
and in a team environment while managing time effectively * Customer
service background * Loss Prevention background preferred * Thorough
knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Sub-Business USH Operations
