Event Coordinator The New York Times 191 reviews - New York, NY The
event coordinator position requires a creative thinker with a keen
attention for detail. This candidate must be able to handle a number of
projects simultaneously, and have strong execution and implementation
skills. This position will support multiple categories, with emphasis on
assisting the sales team with event materials and execution. Areas of
expertise should include creative thinking, project management, client
management, financial responsibility and event execution.
Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities: * Provide support in creating
promotion materials and added - value proposals for assigned categories
- Assist in executing merchandising programs designed to help
advertising generate new and incremental revenue * Support execution of
brand events for various NYT products, including, but not limited to
NYTVR, T Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times, NYT
Cooking, Watching and Well * Support elements of a set of pre - existing
event sponsorship activations, including but not limited to, The US
Open, South Beach Wine & Food Festival, Shakespeare in the Park, and The
New York City TCS Marathon * Support trade related events, from guest
list management to catering and collateral * Communicate closely with
any relevant areas of the organization (ad sales, brand marketing, PR,
creative services, circulation) in the development of creative materials
and events * Develop power point presentations to strengthen internal
organization and client communication * Receive and coordinate contracts
within our internal legal and insurance system and assist with event
payments and budgeting * Keep shared documents up to date including
calendars, event files, budgets, invitee lists, etc. * Fulfill
administrative duties including but not limited to invoice processing,
guest list management, record updating, etc. Experience: * B Aor BS *
1-3 years of Events and Marketing experience * Demonstrated ability to
creatively develop solutions for clients * Proven experience in juggling
complex projects simultaneously and ability to meet tight deadlines *
Strong written and visual skills a must * Strong power point skills a
