Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking a Corporate Counsel to provide commercial and transactional legal services for our television stations and other businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including, but not limited to, purchase agreements, term sheets, license agreements, venture agreements, technology and IT agreements
• Assisting with various commercial legal matters, including advising and negotiating corporate transactional matters, overseeing and executing M&A and investments, and intellectual property matters
• Reviewing regulatory requirements for the business as necessary
• Collaborating with subsidiary executives and counsel, outside counsel, and internal management
• Conducting legal research as necessary

REQUIREMENTS:

• 6+ years corporate and transactional law experience at a leading law firm. Broadcast, FCC or other media law related experience a plus
• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials with a law school class rank of at least the top 20%
• Admission to at least one State Bar
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational and computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively and provide leadership to the team
• Local candidates (Baltimore region) preferred but relocation may be considered for the right candidate

POSITION CHARACTERISTICS

It is necessary to perform some overtime beyond regularly scheduled work hours to provide patient care. Because of the nature of procedures in the O.R., this job can be stressful and hectic.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Physical and mental – 80% walking, standing, pushing, pulling, required to move patients. Potential exists for exposure to blood and body fluids as well as other hazardous materials. Personal protective equipment should be utilized as needed. Must have a knowledge of operating room techniques; possess strong organization skills and flexibility; present good communication skills; present a professional image; and be able to handle periods of stress.
