Job Summary PolyOne is seeking a Human Resources Intern for summer 2019. This role provides an opportunity for a motivated individual to work on HR related projects in a professional, global environment with exposure to specialty areas of HR as well as supporting our HR business partners. The HR Intern will also participate in a company-wide summer intern program that promotes professional development, networking, cross-functional collaboration and community involvement. Potential Projects and Processes Supporting the Training & Organizational Development team with various projects to include talent needs assessments and training event assistance Supporting the Talent Acquisition team with various parts of the recruitment lifecycle including: review job postings, develop and execute candidate sourcing strategies, screen resumes, conduct reference checks, schedule campus events and interviews and organize and prepare literature and materials for campus recruiting events Supporting the Compensation team with the annual compensation planning process Supporting the Benefits team with annual enrollment preparation Supporting the HRIS team with maintaining reports and ad hoc systems projects Supporting HR managers in a business partner capacity including interview preparation, processing transactional change forms, leave administration, trend analysis for client groups through the use of HRIS reports and day to day employee relations management Assist with summer intern event planning Provide input and/or content for the PolyOne Careers social media platforms Work on candidate sourcing processes and events that encourage and support diversity and inclusion Assist with other HR duties and projects as assigned Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, General Business or related field Previous internship experience a plus, but not required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong team orientation and the ability to work within a collaborative environment Analytical skills with attention to details Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational skills Results-oriented Desire to learn and develop within the field of Human Resources Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point Physical/Environmental Demands The characteristics listed below are representative of the physical and environmental demands required by an individual to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.
