Opportunity: The Quality Engineering Intern position will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the Quality Assurance Team. Specific responsibilities include: Manage assigned projects and solve problems in a team based environment. Provide engineering support to the Quality Assurance and Product Development teams and other departments, including Customer Service, Sales and Supply Chain. Statistical analysis of defect data to identify opportunities for product improvement. Develop unique solutions to improve product quality and safety based on customer feedback. Document product improvements and designs in CAD. (Experience with SolidWorks is preferred) Create and update documents to support the QA function at Radio Flyer, including standard operating procedures, customer service reference documents, product change notices, defect data trackers and troubleshooting flow charts. Expand the capabilities and resources of the QA Lab by designing and constructing testing equipment, managing consumer return samples, and developing and documenting a 5S plan. Inspect products and packaging artwork for regulatory compliance and audit finished goods. Collaborate with engineers in both the U.S. and overseas through email and conference calls to complete projects. Required Skills Requirements: The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior, majoring in engineering with a 3.0+ grade point average.
