We are looking for a Sr. Salesforce Developer to join our growing San Ramon team! The Senior Salesforce Developer has a solid understanding of all facets of developing software on the Salesforce platform and works directly with Product Management and with other members of Product Development, Customer Support and Quality Assurance on ERP business software applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieve in-depth knowledge of data objects and source code components in the functional area.

• Train super-users and end-users within various modules / departments.
• Maintains the Test/DEV systems. Installs and tests patches in the DEV system working with end users to verify functionality; Document patches and deploy in the production environment.
• Mentor other developers and third-party development consultants.
• Collaborate with functional managers and business experts from our Product Management Group in defining, assessing, and implementing system functionality in support of corporate objectives.
• Extend existing functionality to deliver product specifications.
• Work in a collaborative environment with Quality and Support teams to troubleshoot and validate the software.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of Rootstock ERP solution and understand best practices to interact with the system based on knowledge of Rootstock managed product.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to gather business requirements to enhance systems capabilities and reduce operational costs.
• Document functional specifications and processes for the (potential) customization and personalization of the software.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of heavy Salesforce Apex development (more than 50% of this role) or 1-2 years' Apex development and more than 5 years programming experience in other languages.
• Has worked on Software Business Applications for Enterprises.
• 5+ years of ERP functional and technical experience.
• Experience creating and executing test plans is required.
• Experience documenting and creating functional specifications.
• Experience leading requirements gathering focus groups with business leaders. and executives and documenting those requirements.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging new and existing code.
• Salesforce Platform Developer 2 certification preferred. Platform Developer 1 certification will be considered dependent experience.
• Experience with custom development in Large Data Volume scenarios.
• Full understanding of development lifecycle.
• Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of specifications provided for new development.
• Project management.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE/NICE TO HAVE:

• Knowledge of Account Payables, Receivables and General Ledger. 

• Experience with high volume asynchronous transaction programming concerns.

• Experience with managed package development.

• Experience with Lightning page and Lightning component development.

• Experience with JIRA.

• Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment with core business disciplines including accounting, purchasing, sales/order entry, planning/scheduling and shipping/receiving.
