The Veteran Employment, Training, and Support (VETS) Internship Program is designed to provide a valuable work experience to students or graduates who are transitioning from the military into the civilian workforce and have a desire to work in the tech field. The goal of the VETS program is to provide talented Veterans with an opportunity to work in a civilian corporate work environment, receive mentorship and coaching, and to make meaningful contributions to our organization. Timeline Applications: September 2018- February 2019 Interviews: October 2018-April 2019 on a rolling basis. Internship: 10-12 weeks. Starts dates for the summer intern program are May 14, 2019 or June 11, 2019. Once you apply to this application, we will provide regular status updates to all applicants on a rolling basis. Based on your prior experiences and interests, your resume will be shared with hiring managers across SAS. This will then determine who you interview with during the selection process. Business Development Sales Technical Support Software Development and Testing Information Technology Roles What are we looking for? Currently enrolled in an accredited degree seeking program, to include Associates, Undergraduate and Master degree programs. This is a 10-12 week internship so you have to be able to work for all of Summer 2019. Students must not be graduating prior to the beginning of the internship, and be enrolled to return to school after the internship ends. Must have prior military service or are currently active duty reserve or guard, or are a spouse/domestic partner. Must meet & show proof of DoD standards of honorable active military service ( http://www.cem.va.gov/hmm/discharge_documents.asp ) What type of skills do we prefer? Teamwork. With a dash of independence. Leadership. You sit in the front row of the class. GPA of 3.0 or higher. Going to class is #vital. Emails. You have to know how to write them. Talking. You have to do it effectively. SAS Programming knowledge is a bonus!
