Role Overview Monitoring Employee Service Desk phone lines, Chat, and e-mail queues. Tracking all reported incidents via our ServiceNow ticketing system. Working with other Service Desk staff to resolve current issues and be proactive in helping prevent future problems when possible. Researching and diagnosing customer reported issues and seeing the resolution through to completion. Creating reports, tools, and utilities to help build continued efficiencies. Contribute to maintaining and increasing our support documentation. Perform quality assurance reviews of Employee Service Desk incidents. This internship role is for students pursuing the Work Based Learning opportunity through Wake Technical Community College. Students will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. Applicants must be actively enrolled in a degree seeking role at Wake Technical Community College. Timeline This position will be located in our office in Cary, NC. We are flexible on the start date, and are targeting early 2019. We are looking for candidates who can work 10-30 hours during the academic year, and full time hours during the summer (May-August). What are we looking for? Currently Attending Wake Technical Community College Must not be graduating prior to December 2019 Experience with an interactive network environment and multiple client/server operating systems (Windows / macOS) Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and/or SharePoint) Office365 Understanding of Cloud technology What type of skills do we prefer? Problem-solving skills. Teamwork.
