THIS IS A FULL TIME SEASONAL POSITION THAT RUNS UNTIL 1/1/20.

Summary: As the Sous Chef of the kitchen aboard the Showboat Branson Belle you’ll be supervising all aspects of service in the kitchen. Services would include managing a staff of 20+ team members,  fulfilling customers’ orders, maintaining food quality, ensuring safety guidelines are being followed, plating up food for over 600 people up to 3 times a day, controlling food waste, assisting with ordering and inventory, and fulfilling needs for cleanliness and attention to detail. We are looking for a hard-working candidate who likes to work in a high volume and fast paced kitchen, and can maintain a positive attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting guests when appropriate, making them feel welcome and appreciated.
• Preparing/cooking food product.
• Maintaining safe food environment and following safety procedures.
• Implementing closing/cleaning procedures.
• Maintaining positive, helpful relationships with teammates.
• Complete all job responsibilities independently (self-supervising).
• Maintaining positive, helpful relationships across divisional lines and with management.
• Orientate, coach and train staff. Ensure compliance with federal guidelines while maintaining a positive work climate.

• Make financial decisions as assigned to include ordering/inventory and all aspects of sales.
• Maintain high levels of energy and enthusiasm.
• Operate ovens & grills
• Communicate to the kitchen staff information that they would need to know to properly do their jobs.
• Ensure that proper reports and records are kept.
• Respond promptly to the needs of guests and employees
• Consistently at work and on time with flexibility in scheduling.
