    The primary responsibility of the OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT I is to provide direct patient care under the direction of a qualified occupational therapist upon physician referral.

    Required Skills

    • Ability to perform patient care, utilizing correct body mechanics.
    • Competent to treat a variety of diagnoses who may be infants, children, adults or older adults.
    • Basic splinting skills.

    Required Experience

    • Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant program accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
    • Registered or eligible for registration as an occupational therapy assistant by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists (NBCOT) and the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
    • Must maintain a current California Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
    • Must have a valid BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
    • No experience required.
    • Basic Windows and mouse skills preferred.
