    VICE PRESIDENT OF CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS: We are looking for an energetic, strategic VP of Corporate Communications for a growing and diversified media company. This position reports into the SVP/Chief Financial Officer but will frequently work with the and collaborate across functions, especially the SVP/General Counsel, Investor Relations, SVP News and Promotions. The individual must have an eye toward the “big picture,” know how to drive strategic media results, and be able to keep up with a fast-paced company and evolving media landscape.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Manage the Company’s corporate communications program and messaging around the Company’s vision, mission, values and brands to various audiences and stakeholders
    • Manage the Company’s public relations firm and act as the official Company spokesperson
    • Write, review and distribute press announcements
    • Draft talking points for Executives and other employees engaged with the media
    • Define messaging for quarterly and annual earnings reports, transactions, roadshows and other events
    • Gather intelligence and provide insights to Executives on Company mentions and industry news
    • Develop talking points for communications to employees, investors, viewers, media, trades and other audiences as needed
    • Develop crisis communications plans on an ongoing, as-needed basis
    • Work with PR firm to develop a communications strategy, steer the narrative and manage media outreach
    • Manage corporate social media feeds and postings
    • Provide media training to Executives and handle press events
    • Manage the information posted on the Company’s public website

        

     

    Required Skills

    KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

     

    • Minimum ten years of experience in corporate communications in-house or at a public relations agency
    • Knowledge of journalism landscape and editorial roles
    • Strong media contacts in relevant publications
    • Ability to comprehend complex situations quickly, ask questions, and communicate our story
    • Ability to work in fast-paced organization and evolving industry
    • Excellent communications and writing skills
    • Confidence to present point of view to C-suite
    • Articulate and concise, both written and oral
    • High standards of integrity and ethics
    • Prior managerial experience
    • Ability to work across all departments
    • Excellent MS Office skills
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet and juggle multiple deadlines
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant studies
