    Do you believe that an informed electorate is critical in our democracy? Are you a news pro with experience in managing crews, discovering content, and resources? Do you have a keen knowledge of national politics, and a desire to help connect local audiences around the country with their elected leaders through television and digital media?

     

    Sinclair Broadcast Group is looking for a creative, innovative, and thought provoking leader Executive Producer for a political nightly show produced from our nation’s Capitol. The Executive Producer will lead our planning and execution of this live program. This position will work directly with the Senior Vice President of News, corporate news team and local News Directors to oversee the creation of intelligent discussion panels, audience interaction, and ensure that production expectations are met on site. The Executive Producer will also develop fresh ideas for topics, perform research, and brief our talent on the key issues.

     

    The successful candidate will have a blend of experience with the media and politics, with the proven ability to coordinate live events. This person will need to demonstrate a keen understanding of the “hot-button” public policy issues that make for an interesting and intelligent debate. Strong networking skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments at a time are also necessary. A four year college degree is required. This position will be based in Washington DC.
