WHAT YOU’D BE DOING:
- Provide engaging, educational experiences to aquarium guests. Responsibilities include facilitating touch exhibits, narrating animal feeds put on by Husbandry staff, and performing engaging educational talks at exhibits.
- Maintain show quality standards, which excite, impress and educate guests.
- Support overall aquarium guest experience program through excellent guest service and provide operational support as needed.
- Set up and breakdown equipment and activities. Ensure touch exhibits operate smoothly.
- Monitor animal and guest safety throughout the day.
- Participate in Aquarium after-hours events.

Required Skills
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Allergies related to animals or plants, which might interfere with ability to work, must be controlled by medications or protective equipment.
- Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend and stoop, walk long distances
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Required Experience
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- High School Diploma
- Course work in Biology, Education or past experience working with animals preferred
- 6 months – 1 year customer service experience and/or informal educational setting preferred
- EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS INCLUDING PUBLIC SPEAKING
- Friendly, outgoing, and proactive individual
- Experience working both independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work weekends and holidays with occasional evenings
