SUMMARY: As an HVAC CRAFTSMAN, you’ll be working with our Maintenance & Construction team to keep Silver Dollar City running smoothly. Effective troubleshooting is a very important part of this position. When the HVAC stops working, our guests and employees need to know the glitch will be fixed in a safe and timely manner. We’re looking for a hard-working candidate who has extensive commercial experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following though other duties may be assigned

• Understanding of general industry standards, methods, practices and procedures used in the trade
• General understanding of the maintenance of buildings, service equipment, production equipment, and similar mechanical operations
• General Understanding of OSHA and safety procedures used in maintenance activities
• Ability to prepare basic paper records and reports
• Ability of work independently, as well as cooperatively with all maintenance teams and all other divisional employees and leadership
• Skilled in the use and care of tools and equipment
• Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose problems and determine the best feasible way to correct them
• Ability to operate appropriate testing equipment in order to test the performance of equipment and defective parts
• Ability to dismantle devices and control instruments in order to repair or replace defective parts efficiently
• Continuously strive to build knowledge and skills
• Respond promptly to customer needs, for both guest and employees
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Consistently at work and on time
• Observe safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions;

COMPUTER ABILITY: Basic computer operation/navigation skills preferred.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Class E Driver’s License or resident state equivalent.  OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour course completion preferred.  Current licenses in related field or equipment-handling certificates desired.

Required Experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: One to three years experience and/or technical training in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Continuing education and training by becoming certified in specific skills as determined by leadership.
