    7011 Coordinator, Promotions & Events Marketing #18-1026 New York, NY Posting Location NY100 Alternate Posting Locations NY-McGraw Hill-NY100 Functional Group Programming Job Title Coordinator, Promotions & Events Marketing Schedule Full-time Job Description Location: New York, NY Position Summary: Reports to the Senior Manager of Promotions and Event Marketing and supports all aspects of the promotions and event process including but not limited to, sweepstakes and contesting assistance, event audience coordination, legal compliance for all promotions winners and travel booking. Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist the promotions and event marketing management team via logistical coordination and on-site execution for assigned subscriber audience events: * Ensure a positive and memorable experience for all subscribers attending SXM events. * Oversee fulfillment of all audience event winners including communication of logistics, customer service & compiling guestlist(s). * Submit security and facility requests for all necessary events to ensure proper support by involved departments. * Work with the team to execute New York area audience events including on-site coordination and oversight. * Travel to off-site events, when necessary, to assist with grand prize winner and any other event duties assigned. * Assist the promotions and event marketing management team with all sweepstakes and contests including: * Development & execution: * Assist with drafting & submitting proposals for promotional partners. * Assist with coordination of rules with legal team for assigned executions. * Coordinate promotional copy with programmers, legal and related partners. * Fulfillment: * Oversee fulfillment of all contesting winners including outreach and distribution of information, compiling guestlists, etc. * Coordinate travel itineraries and details for sweepstakes/contest winners. * Coordinate all winner data and W-9 forms and work with accounting to ensure all tax information is up to date for sweepstakes/contest winners. * Assist the promotions and event marketing management team with department support and assigned duties including but not limited to: * Handle ordering and distributing office supplies. * Oversee submitting department BTA card expenses to accounts payable. * Develop ideas for optimization of internal processes, workflow and communication as well as generate ideas to impact customer retention or acquisition via promotions and event marketing. Supervisory Responsibilities: * None. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience. * Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a promotions and/or event planning, preferably in the media/entertainment field. * Strong interest in promotions, events and consumer marketing. Requirements and General Skills: * Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels. * Knowledge of national legal guidelines for sweepstakes and contest. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person. * Commitment to SiriusXM subscribers and customer service principles. * Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects. * Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, in a fast-paced environment. * Must have legal right to work in the U.S. Technical Skills: * Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
