As a leader in interpreting education we are looking for an intern that can realize our mission and gain meaningful experience by contributing and supporting the team in a variety of ways. The Intern selected for this position will work under the direction of the Program Director at the VRSII. The Intern will be supporting the development of print and video materials and resources to be used within programming happening at the VRSII. In addition, the Intern will work with the VRSII community to design and implement a successful social media environment. This is a dynamic position that will support many facets of programming at the VRSII and the selected Intern will be working alongside faculty and students to support the mission of the VRSII. This paid, fulltime internship will last from May 14 to July 31 and is based in Salt Lake City Utah. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Support the VRSII in designing materials used in programs. * Assist with filming videos for interpreter practice * Develop social media campaigns for our programs. * Conference and workshop planning. * File management support * Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities Required * Skilled with the Adobe Design Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and movie making software (i.e. Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere). * Ability to learn new software. * Skilled using social media platforms and the ability to develop social media campaigns. Experience/Education/Certifications * Background in marketing, public relations, filming or production. * Experience with (or ability to learn) advanced lighting techniques and video editing. Other General Requirements/Additional Notes * Must be able successfully pass a drug and background check. * Must be willing and able to work in an office environment. * Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills and able to work across company departments. * This position has access to highly confidential, sensitive information relating to the employees and customers of Sorenson Communications and CaptionCall.
