    Overview of the Role:

    Are you ready to see how AI shapes the future of a global company? We are looking for an ambitious intern to join a special team within the Office of the CEO at Salesforce. In this role, you will work on the most important, high-impact projects that help steer our company's future. You won't just study AI; you will use it to solve real-world problems alongside our top leaders.

    Responsibilities:

    You will get a front-row seat to how the most important decisions are made at Salesforce. By the end of the summer, you will see how your code and analysis directly impact the company's success and our customers' experiences.

    • Build and test AI tools to help us solve our most critical business challenges.
    • Compare different AI models to find the best fit for our biggest goals.
    • Partner with leaders and engineers to turn ideas into working AI solutions.
    • Prepare data so our AI models can learn and perform accurately.
    • Document your experiments so our team can learn from your discoveries.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (graduating in May 2027 or 2028).
    • Proven hands-on experience experimenting with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral, LLaMA, or Gemini) through internships, personal projects, hackathons, or independent research.
    • Strong proficiency in Python, with comfort navigating AI/ML libraries and APIs.
    • Solid grasp of data fundamentals, including data lineage, and data provenance.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or fine-tuning techniques.
    • Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks, such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
    • Exposure to cloud computing environments, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
