Opportunity Overview What part will you play? New Line Productions, Inc. seeks a New Line Intern-Spring 2019 for the Operations Executive department. New Line Cinemas Theatrical Creative department is responsible for the development of feature titles under the New Line label. Development interns are exposed to several aspects of the film development process while providing assistance to creative executives and their teams. This intern: * At executives request, reads overnight spec screenplay, giving verbal or written feedback to executive. * Is responsible for copying scripts and processing script and coverage requests. * Maintains lists of available writers, directors and actors and compiles into database. * Makes daily updates to talent database using the trade publications * Performs administrative duties as assigned * Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. What do we require from you? * Currently enrolled in pursuit of a college degree in Film, Communications, English or related major. * Some experience in the entertainment field preferred. * Knowledge of theatrical film development process a plus. * Ability to communicate effectively with executives and members of the creative community. * Ability to research and coordinate various projects, and identify resources. * Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage. * Knowledge of report, letter, etc. format. * Ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions. * Ability to organize and schedule work effectively. * Able to handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
