    JOB SUMMARY:

    The theater usher is responsible for assisting guests during their entire theater experience, which begins as they are waiting to enter the theater. From that point, they will provide instruction and direction for seating and maintain a safe and pleasant experience for guests attending a show or event.

    SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Greet guests and assist in seating of guests in park theaters.

    • Provide park information to guests.

    • Maintain some entertainment signage, i.e. show times, as needed.

    • Keep theater clean by picking up debris in house after each show, dusting, light cleaning of windows, vacuuming seats and floors, sweeping floors, and mopping floors as needed.

    • If show is ticketed, take tickets from guests.

    • Work varying hours and locations as required.

    • Maintain order within the theater as well as in the immediate area of the theater before and after shows.

      Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.

    • Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.

    • Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
    • Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time.
    • Able to tolerate temperatures of 0 to 140 degrees.

    • Ability to bend over and discreetly seat guests, pick up debris.
    • Need finger movement to handle tickets and/or counters.

    • Able to climb steps.
    • Must wear costume as outlined by Entertainment team.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma or GED.
