    The IT Enterprise Applications Team focuses on the building blocks of applications and tools that improve the productivity of employees across the company.

    At Twitter, our IT Enterprise Applications team focuses on implementing and supporting applications to help our internal customers meet their operational needs. We are responsible for establishing processes for continual improvement, guiding administration, and partnering with multiple stakeholders on a project-to-project basis.     WHAT YOU’LL DO

    We are looking for an experienced manager for our Salesforce Engineering team to help guide the design and development of highly scalable business application solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform. As an integral member of the IT Enterprise Applications team, this position will be responsible for day-to-day management and continuous growth of a best in class engineering team dedicated to developing innovative solutions in support of our business partner’s evolving requirements

    THE PERSON IN THIS ROLE WILL:

    • Oversee the design, implementation and deployment of Salesforce-based solutions to internal business teams

    • Build an effective team by driving the recruiting and hiring of engineers, conduct performance reviews, and support individual growth. Ensure primary and backup support resources are identified, trained, and in place for the current production applications. 

    • Evaluate the performance of each team member, generate development plans, and set goals within the context of the corporate policy. Must also motivate, coach, counsel, and develop team members within the context of the corporate policies and manage the team’s budget. Ensure that staff has appropriate tools and training.

    • Communicate with Sr Managers/Directors and other corporate management to plan and implement Division Strategic Objectives. 

    • Establish and enforce continuous process improvement practices through the use of concepts such as Knowledge Management, Root-Cause-Analysis, and performance metrics. 

    • Provide leadership and guidance to develop business process automation solutions to internal Twitter teams

    • Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop technical designs and solution recommendations

    • Work with internal product managers to partner with multiple business stakeholders to develop solutions against departmental roadmaps

    • Partner with other internal engineering teams and third-party vendors to develop consistent and scalable solutions

    • Responsible for guiding design, code review, and release management as part of the oversight of our internal software development lifecycle

    • Ensure appropriate controls and documentation are followed to meet security, compliance and privacy requirements across all systems

    • Develop professional relationships with internal customers and establish effective solutions to meet business requirements and provide regular feedback

    • Business continuity and disaster planning for business-critical systems, including working with infrastructure and business teams to produce and sustain practical solutions.

    • Manage a continuous improvement program whereby technical or user processes are improved/enhanced where it is of tangible value to the business.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of CRM software solutions

    • Experience partnering with security to design solutions that adhere to internal guidelines while meeting business needs

    • Experienced in and advocate for SDLC / Change Control and Environment / Instance management

    • 5+ years of Salesforce.com enterprise wide experience

    • Force.com development experience preferred

    • 2+ years managing a Salesforce development team

    • Proven knowledge of Salesforce.com technical architecture

    • Knowledge of APEX, Lightning framework, Salesforce APIs and REST based web services

    • Experience with enterprise integration frameworks and SOA best practices

    • Experience working within an Agile development framework
