    Job Description

    We seek with the platform console to be a one-stop shop for all services at Twitter for Twitter employees. Whether offered by the Platform or other organizations. This starts with basic views for machines or Kubernetes nodes being used for different services, to reservation/release of new capacity (CPU, RAM, disk, networking) along with chargeback/billing back to the organization making the requests and using the resources assigned to it. This extends to operational use cases such as directing where traffic flows throughout Twitter.

     

    The Platform Product organization is a key team that we’ve assembled to provide direction and a product lens on all the work the Platform organization does at Twitter, from data to analytics, storage to graph technologies, security to networking and data centers. With every product we ship to our internal customers, we provide an enabling environment for the consumer and revenue teams to build exciting experiences for our customers!

     

    AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE:

    • In partnership with Platform engineering, developing a vision for up-leveling the console and provisioning layer to simplify its interface, and make it encompassing of resources both from private and public clouds

    • Advising on new feature development, product roadmaps, research, and other key critical initiatives

    • Actively identifying potential gaps/risk areas and opportunities for driving cross-functional collaboration in these areas, such as developing product offering;

    • Crafting aspirational goals and partnering closely with Consumer, Revenue and ML engineering, Product and Finance to identify and execute on a roadmap that unlock capabilities for our partner organizations

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

     

    Your role is to understand our customers, engineers at Twitter, gather insights, see opportunities, and help prioritize work for developing and managing the portfolio of products and policies that further improve our hybrid cloud offering. You will drive strategy for our management toolset and will partner cross-functionally to ensure we’re making capabilities of the hybrid cloud accessible through the console. This role will also lead the definition, launch, roll-out, and ongoing improvement of these solutions with responsibility for guiding feature development. You will:

     

    • Convey your vision through bold product roadmaps, work closely with product leaders and software engineers, and participate in all levels of team planning.

    • Develop business metrics to increase adoption and develop audit mechanisms (e.g., metrics, reporting, evaluation standards) to track and report on adoption.

    • Create and maintain concrete, quantitative, and descriptive profiles of customers and their needs. These include web developers, core service backend developers, and machine learning engineers.

    • Develop a product portfolio with a clear roadmap and hold teams accountable to delivering against that roadmap

    • Review existing processes and identify gaps in the solution set and recommend improvements and see the changes through

You can demonstrate a track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship phenomenal enterprise products and have experience building an understanding of customers, and rapidly iterating to determine how to serve their needs and tackle their problems (via rapid prototyping, concept testing, experimentation, etc). You possess a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, are a self starter and a problem solver. You understand how to create delightful user experiences and partner well with design to test/iterate and deploy new user interfaces. You care! You facilitate critical conversations with ease and have no trouble working with and juggling the (at times) contending priorities of multiple teams operating in different timezones. You approach problems with multiple solutions in mind, and quickly pivot when needed to better account for newly-discovered data and insight. You have an entrepreneurial approach and are flexible, self-motivated, dedicated, and hard-working. You actively recognize needs, resolve problems, anticipate issues, and develop solutions. You build and cultivate healthy relationships with partners and keep teammates informed and engaged. You customize your communication style based on your audience and easily switch between verbal and written communication as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 10 years experience working in cloud technologies of which at least 5 spent in a product role.

    • Knowledge of standard methodologies in management consoles and constant learning and understanding of cloud technologies.

    • A history of building lasting cross-functional partnerships with both internal and external groups, especially Engineering, Product, Security, and Legal.

    • Computer science, math or computer/electrical engineering background REQUIRED.

    • Ability to think strategically and craft a compelling product vision.

    • Experience driving impact through cross-functional leadership.

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong analytical abilities are a requirement.

    • Passion about technology and knowledge about the latest trends in the field.
