    Job Description

    Come join us to lead our global AudioVisual (AV) function and team that enable employees to do their best work, wherever they work and experience the #LoveWhereYouWork culture. 

    WHAT YOU’LL DO: In this role, you will be responsible for leading our overall AudioVisual (AV) strategy, design,  operations and employee support on the Real Estate & Workplace (REW) team. You will manage an existing team of (4) AV engineers and a number of existing vendor partners. This role will partner closely with other REW functions such as workplace strategy (inclusive of office & home), design & construction, onsite & virtual events, sustainability & workplace operations in ensuring we provide innovative and seamless AV experience to our employees. You will ensure that you maintain key relationships with other functions such as IT, Information Security, Finance, Sourcing/Procurement, to partner with in developing, implementing and maintaining AV technologies. A growth mindset is absolutely essential in this role and you will be the expert who is staying ahead of the curve on industry trends and best practices. 

    Here are some other areas you will provide leadership over and be responsible for:

    • Drive innovative thinking and implement new solutions that allow for equitable experiences for employees regardless of where they work.
    • Overall financial responsibility including developing and managing an overall budget for capex and operational expenditures along with POs and contracts. 
    • End to end responsibility of AV technology & equipment including sourcing, purchasing, managing, tracking and disposing of assets.
    • Develop and maintain a robust network of vendors, contractors, subcontractors and other partners to execute on implementation and ongoing maintenance of systems. 
    • Assign projects across the team that balance growth opportunities and relevant skill sets.
    • Develop and implement standards, processes, policies and best practice guides for design, operations and ongoing support. 
    • Work with external/internal teams to design, plan, and implement global office builds.
    • Ensure team is able to effectively partner on high touch technical events by providing an engaging and crisp audiovisual experience 
    • Partnering with the sustainability team to provide innovative leadership around how AV technologies can help reduce Twitter’s overall carbon footprint.
     
    

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • 6-8 years experience in AV strategy, design & operations. 
    • 3-4 years of management experience, preferably global experience.
    • Proven record of growing individuals and teams. 
    • Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills along with strong customer service
    • Basic knowledge technical knowledge of Mac OS 10.13.x, 10.14.x,  iOS and Android
    • Understand CAD drawings, line drawings, signal flow, and AV concepts
    • Experience working with Video Conferencing systems (Google Meet, LifeSize, BlueJeans, etc) along with Crestron, Extron, Lifesize, ClearOne, Symmetrix, and similar technologies
    • Strong network fundamentals and support experience (network configs, VPN, printing, etc)
    • Knowledge of desktop security tools and best practices
    • Experience supporting Shoretel or other VOIP systems
    • Expert in GSuite support and administration (Google Calendar, Google Meet)
    • Strong Video Conference and presentation support skills
    • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation that includes after hours and weekend support
    • Travel may be required 25% of the time.

     

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • CTS, Crestron DM, or similar certification
    • Ability to write Crestron SIMPL+
    • Experience with SIMPL#, C#, and other web-based languages
    • Knowledge and basic programming of DSPs
 
    • GSuite Enterprise Experience
    • LDAP and Active Directory experience
    • Live audio production experience
    • B.S. in Audio Engineering, Sound Reinforcement or equivalent industry experience 
    • Bonus points: Yamaha LS9 or QL5, NewTek Tricaster
