Job Description
Twitter is looking for a Data Governance Program Manager for our Finance group responsible for the coordination of data management and governance activities. This position will report into the data finance leader and requires skills to effectively collaborate within Finance and across broad parts of the organization and influence others without reliance on formal authority.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitates identification, definition, and management of Data Elements. This includes the business and technical definitions, metadata and golden source information, and ensuring its full inclusion in the Data Governance tools platform and workflows
Carries out data quality assessments, including; data profiling, the establishment of data quality rules and thresholds for data elements.
Project manages various data management and governance programs
Works with Engineering and data teams to provide semi-automated visualization of the lineage of Twitter Finance’s data, highlighting transformations and aggregations from origination through to reporting
Establishes data certification, issue management and resolution processes for Twitter Finance using the authoritative data governance platform and workflows, building consensus around key data issues and actions required to address them, and developing action plans and timelines to complete remediation
Provides regular reporting on Data Governance metrics and activities
Partners with multi-functional teams across HR, IT, DMO, and other organizations to drive Finance's Data Governance initiatives
Qualifications
Degree in Information Technology, Finance, or other relevant fields. Data Architecture knowledge is an added advantage
Has worked with at least one Enterprise Application System, for instance, Oracle, Vertica, Google Big Query, etc.
Experience in business and data analysis, process improvement and project management
Knowledge of data management, data model and data governance principles
Excellent verbal & written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and present to senior business executives
Background in data architecture and its implementation in large environments a plus
Specific knowledge of relevant functions (e.g. Accounting, FP&A, etc.).
