  • Responsibilities

    THE SENIOR SALES MANAGER DIRECTS ALL SALES ACTIVITIES OF STONE MOUNTAIN PARK BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING DUTIES PERSONALLY OR THROUGH SUBORDINATE SUPERVISORS.  ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.  MANAGEMENT RETAINS THE DISCRETION TO CHANGE OR ADD TO THE DUTIES OF THIS POSITION AT ANY TIME.

    • Develop current and long term sales goals based on budget and revenue goals for SMP
    • Coordinate sales promotions and collateral to increase SMP business and sales
    • Develop and coordinate SMP group activity marketing programs with other SMP departments to increase customer satisfaction
    • Develop and manage new and special accounts
    • Interview, hire, train and evaluate sales team
    • Directly manage all outside/inside sales staff
    • Assign sales territory for  sales personnel
    • Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy in promoting sales
    • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates
    • Develop sales campaigns to accommodate company goals
    • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote the Park
    • Coordinate liaison between the Sales Department and other sales related units
    • Analyze and control expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements
    • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales
    • Recommend or approve budget, expenditures, and appropriations for department
    • Work in the field with Outside Sales Managers
    • Complete weekly sales reports for corporate
    • Administer the technology associated with Catering software, Ipad software and Salesforce CRM.
    • This position requires the employee to receive credit card information to take a deposit, make a payment, or initiate a refund.
    • Develop and manage new and current park sponsorships
    • All other duties as assigned

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE CARRIED OUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE POLICIES AND LAWS.  

    • Directing staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program
    • Interviewing and hiring
    • Planning, assigning, scheduling, and directing work
    • Rewarding and disciplining employees
    • Addressing complaints and resolving problems

    Required Experience

    • BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED- PREFERABLY IN HOTEL/MOTEL/HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
    • EIGHT TO TEN YEARS RELATED EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
    • MUST HAVE AND MAINTAIN A DRIVER'S LICENSE
