    Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking a full-time IT BUSINESS ANALYST to join our growing company!

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

     

    • Perform requirements gathering and analysis with all relevant sources and identify missing elements and all dependencies
    • Document and communicate the results of requirements gathering efforts
    • Participate in creation of test scripts and acceptance criteria based on requirements for user acceptance testing.
    • Develop process maps that serve as accurate representations of business processes
    • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, and uncovering areas for improvement
    • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
    • Facilitate meaningful 2-way communication with all stakeholders
    • Maintain project requirements documentation for multiple projects with broad scope, ambiguity, and avhigh degree of complexity
    • Assist in the development of requirements and user stories in upstream processes such as Demand Management

     

    THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

     

    • A Bachelor’s degree in business, computer information systems, computer science or related field
    • 3-5 years of experience preferred
    • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Experience in software requirements gathering and documentation
    • Excellent oral and written skills for use in writing detailed business requirements and presenting solutions to other team members
    • Familiarity with Project Management processes and procedures
    • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
    • Experience with utilizing process mapping techniques
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Previous exposure to software development environments

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Basic coding knowledge and strong healthcare business office experience
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance contracts
    • Communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Minimum of 5 years medical collection experience
    • High school diploma with some additional college courses related to the medical field
    • Ability to work with stand alone or integrated health care computerized systems preferred. Familiarity with fundamental software packages (Word, Excel) preferred.
    • Must be able to manage a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Reasoning and math skills needed to analyze claims issues
    • Able to work independently and meet established guidelines.
    • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
    • Excellent attendance background.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

    Collection Responsibilities

    • Sets priorities and organizes work.
    • Keeps a weekly aging report for follow up
    • Insurance must be contacted at least once, but preferably twice a month, beginning with 30 day aging
    • Phone calls, written appeals must be done in a timely manner
    • Correspondence must be addressed within 48 hours of receipt
    • Print, review, and mail patient statements weekly
    • Contact patients, their family members or third party carriers to follow-up on claim status and collection efforts. Assists patients or their family members by providing explanation of insurance benefits.
    • Additional business office functions as determined by supervisor

    Quality Improvement

    • Participates in the monitoring activities of the quality assurance program.

    • Complies with Policies and Procedures and adheres to safety guidelines to ensure a safe work and patient care environment.

     

    Personal Development and Professionalism

    • Serves as a resource to other members of the health care team.
    • Attends inservices, conferences and meetings as required
    • Attends annual Safety and Competency education session
    • Act in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center
    • Maintain patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.
    • Follow the Center's professional conduct and dress code policy.
    • Communicate effectively and courteously with visitors, physicians and their office staffs, patients and employees.
