  • Responsibilities

    Manage the rebate process focusing on timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.  Collaborate with VE sales, pricing manager, product managers, buyers, vendors, and Sonepar Share Services and EDI, to maximize profitability and efficiency in the rebate process.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Serve as the key contact for VE sales, vendors, product managers, and Sonepar Shared Services, regarding the rebate process. Build and maintain the necessary relationships with VE sales and vendors to support the timely and profitable execution of the rebate process.

    2. Load and maintain vendor rebate quotes (SPA’s) and process rebate claims to conclusion, work with vendors and Product Managers to find and resolve rebate claim issues in accordance with Sonepar Shared Service deadlines. Support VE Sales’ needs in tying customer pricing to rebates, including the recalculating of costs for sales orders in Solar Eclipse to obtain best rebate or stock costs. Support other customer pricing needs as established by the Pricing Manager.

    3. Troubleshoot EDI Solar Eclipse Rebate Issues. Work with EDI support at Sonepar and Vendors to resolve problems.

    4. Communicate with vendors to improve quality of rebate contracts. Work with Product Managers and Buyers for missing information in stock records or vendor groups.

    5. For SPJ’s process (SQD Small Project Job), resolve discrepancies between SQD credit memo and SPJ costs on Sales Orders. Follow through with sales on Open SPJ Report for credit that has not been received from SQD.

    6. Routinely prepare and analyze rebate reporting to monitor profitability and effectiveness of rebate strategies. Prepare other ad-hoc reporting as requested.

    7. Train and educate new sales associates on Solar Eclipse rebate process.

    8. Participate in and follows all Viking policies, guidelines, and procedures (safety, Anti-Harassment, Ethics, etc).

    9. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Must have valid driver's license and occasional travel required.

    Required Skills

    Bachelor’s degree in business field is preferred or equivalent business experience.

    Proven track record of performance in the rebate process, or equivalent related experience. Demonstrated history for delivering positive results in working across functions and with vendors. Prior rebate experience and knowledge of our inventory data base is preferred.

    • Understanding of vendor programs – SquareD SPJ and Siemens
  • Qualifications
