Department Description: Human Resources at WMG is a Corporate department with centralized functions for Payroll, Compensation, Benefits and Staffing. Additionally, there are several HR Generalist groups that are assigned to specific business units or Corporate departments, to support the businesses employee relations, employee development, organizational development, performance management and compliance needs. High Level Job Description: In this role you will work as part of a team on delivering HR services to team members of our U.S. Shared Service Center in Nashville, TN. The Jr. Human Resources Generalist assists in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department. Reporting into the Sr. Director, Human Resources this role will manage the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. You will have opportunity to participate in projects around company initiatives. You will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training and development, benefits, payroll, compensation, organizational development, and employment. Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities: * Assist, partner and support Sr. Director, HR in developing and delivering HR strategies and programs to client group(s), including employee engagement, onboarding, staffing, compensation, benefits and performance. * Serve as first point of contact for managers and employees throughout assigned population. Provide information and guidance, or escalate inquires as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality of all information as appropriate. * Assist with the development and administration of programs, policy, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company. * Manage the entire onboarding process for all new employees as well as new hire orientation. Ensure all employee related items are entered properly in our HRIS database. Prepare and analyze reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company. Prepare reports and organization charts periodically for management. * Identify and deploy impactful people strategies and policies that enable the organization to perform effectively and scale efficiently as it grows. * Provide support and expertise in development and execution, planning and facilitation of employee relations efforts. * Assist in establishing departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the business units strategic goals. * Provide consulting to employees while assisting in developing strong team skills and individual development. * Assist in the design and roll-out of developmental and programmatic training as needed. * Educate on leave entitlement and benefits for client group in compliance with Federal and State Laws. * Act as the main U.S. Shared Services contact for college campus initiatives, which involves attending job fairs and campus events. * Perform any other duties and tasks related to the Departments role and responsibilities that might be assigned. Required Competencies/Skills: * Strong interpersonal, diplomacy, communication and listening skills. * Strong organizational skills, follow through/up and ability to multi-task a must. * Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure. * Ability to present to groups in a confident, engaging and consistent manner. * Ability to be "hands-on" in work and in providing support to the entire management team. * Comfortable with change. * Intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Knowledge of applicable State and Federal laws. Special Requirements/Preferences: * 2-3 years HR experience * Flexible work hours * Knowledge and prior experience working with Workday is preferred. * Knowledge of ADP payroll systems or other Human Resources Information System strongly preferred. Education/Experience Required: List any education, years of work experience, certification, and/or licenses requirements for this position.
