Marketing AssociateJob Locations US-MI-Grand RapidsCategory Marketing Overview The Marketing Associate assists the Sr. Marketing Director for Kidz Bibles and Sr. Marketing Director and NIV Brand Manager with a variety of administrative support functions related to the execution of marketing campaigns under the direction of the Sr. Marketing Director. Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities:Assist with the execution of Kidz Bible Marketing and NIV Brand campaigns as neededWork alongside the Sr. Marketing Associate on catalog development for Kidz Bibles including the annual print catalog, seasonal digital catalogs, Sales Conference catalogs and occasional custom catalogsMonitor real time results of digital ads on a daily basis and adapt as necessary to optimizeAssist with the creation of PowerPoint slides for various presentations Assist with meeting preparations with outside guestsHelp in the development of websites and landing pagesManage the process of creating print and digital samplersAssist with market research related to copywriting, positioning strategies, and cover designCoordinate the media buying process (reserve ads, record the media schedule, create tags and trackable links, deliver files, and track and report on results)Create social mediacontent and scheduling as needed, pull/develop content from books for press materials and marketing collateral Maintain image library of lifestyle photosCoordinate the copywriting process by routing approved marketing copy and then entering and updating final copy as needed into the HCCP databaseAssist with copywriting of ads and packaging Help create and schedule email sends with Digital Marketing ManagerAssist with preparations for Sales ConferencesEnter and update metadata as needed in MDMAssist the Sales Team and Customer Service Team with marketing-related questions and needsManage special mailingsAssist with pre-and post-show event planning for conferences and tradeshows Research potential award competitions and determine product submissionsEnter complimentary orders through the HCCP order entry systemCapture action items at various meetingsSubmit product images and product copy to retailers as neededProcess paperwork related to working with independent contractorsSubmit reprint corrections as requestedProcess trademark submissionsAssist with gathering images of current kids trends and fashion for cover design Qualifications Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Basic knowledge of Adobe software required; proficiency preferred (Photoshop, Acrobat Pro).Work Experience: 0-2 years of previous marketing experience preferred, or combination of internships and part-time experiences; design experience a definite plus. Education: 4-year degree in marketing or related field. Other majors welcome when combined with relevant experience. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of publishing or other consumer content-related or entertainment industry preferred but not required. Skills:Ability to handle multiple competing projects and priorities at one time Superior attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest)Basic level graphic design skills preferred, or willingness to learn design tools for simple social graphic development Additional Skills:Positive and team-oriented.
