MMS GLOBAL CUSTOMER SUPPORT (GCS) SUMMER INTERN

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE/SCOPE
BD Medical is among the world's leading suppliers of medical devices and a leading innovator in injection- and infusion-based drug delivery. We are passionate about providing innovative solutions to reduce the spread of infection, improve diabetes treatment and advance drug delivery. With our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, reducing inefficiency and waste for nursing and pharmacy teams.
The summer internship programwithinGlobal Customer Support (GCS) at BDprovides the student withan opportunityto partner with peers, senior personnel, and supervisors who will provide informal mentoring and coaching towards success. Students will have the opportunity to be exposed to Global Support Operations and Customer Experience. Selected studentsmay work within cross-functional or interdisciplinary teams and may have multiple internal partners and customers.
Each intern will have an individual projectfocused onproject management, analytics, process improvement, or technicalskillsand the opportunitydevelopoperations and support expertise.Through our summer internship, students developanextensive professional network, learn how to work in aprofessional environment, develop skills related to customer support and crafting excellent customer experiences through operational rigor, and deliver business presentations showcasing their work.Thesummer internship program is a great opportunity togain exposure tothe medical device industry andBD'sculture.
We arerecruiting for ahighly driven undergraduate students from a variety of degree backgrounds- rangingfrombusiness,science, ortechnicalbaseddegreeswith a passion for customer centric resultsand the medical device industry.The candidate is responsible for all housing and transportation costs.

Business Process Optimization
Project examples includeconducting analyses and assessing trends in data to drive process improvements and recommendations;creating automation tostreamlining reports and dashboards to improve efficiency;conducting industry benchmarking and research to drive strategic recommendations
Customer Experience, Reporting,& Analytics
Project examples include conducting dashboard development in Power BI; conducting ad hoc analysis to drive actionable insights from VOC and operational data; creating automation to drive efficiencies around repetitive data exports and analysis
Service Efficiency
Project examples include authoring documentation and knowledge content for technical system governance; transitioning documentation and collaboration methods to improve efficiency and set team / project standards; creating portfolios, templates, and business cases to drive strategic recommendations; conducting system data reviews for business accuracy
Education Services
Performing research, conducting analysis, and assessing trends on industry best practices; interviewing stakeholders and customers to identify and drive improvements and recommend new opportunities for new services;conducting industry benchmarking and research to drive strategic recommendations; analyzing educational services and propose initiatives to increase revenue
Business Operations
Projectexamples include technical writing, conducting analysis and editing processes for scalability and standardization; executing on content and documentation for customer facing associates, including operational playbooks, tools, notebooks applying editorial and visual standards for documents; collaborating with stakeholders to identify and drive efficiency opportunities
Professional Services Teams
Clinical Excellence and Performance Projectexamples include reviewing and editing processes for scalability and standardization;creation of process maps and documentation;simplifying operational playbooks and notebooks
Service Portfolio Management
Project examples include analyzing nonstandard terms to assess trends to drive process improvements,recommendations,and opportunities for new services; automating and streamlining reports,templatesand processes to improve efficiency; analyzing service programs, forecast and propose initiatives to drive adoption and increase revenue
Support Teams
Support Operations
Projectexamples includegathering, analyzing, and composing technical information for a variety of documents including policies, processes, procedures, and knowledge base articles; Applying editorial and visual standards for documents; collaborating with stakeholders to identify and drive efficiency opportunities
Technical Support & Support Engineering
Creating and developing device assessment tools with technical staff; monitor and gather post resolution issue health statistics for customer reports
