    The BD Medication Management Solutions (MMS) division proudly offers a Summer Internship Program for undergraduate students. Through this program, the student will have the chance to gain real-world experience in Service & Support, Process Improvement, and Business Analytics.

    The Service Efficiency Analyst Intern supports the Global Customer Service organization in MMS and, specifically, Dispensing Field Service, Technical Support, and Professional Services.

    • Knowledge transfer to SFDC and authoring knowledge articles for record keeping and centralization

    • SharePoint to MS Teams transition to improve efficiency and help set team/project standards

    • Process updates: Portfolio, business case, templates to drive strategic recommendations

    • Dashboards and reporting for key projects for analysis

    • Review data integrity for business accuracy

    As an intern on the Service Efficiency team, you will gain experience with database analysis including Salesforce dashboards, knowledge transfer, Microsoft Teams organization and setting project standards, and process updates. Projects undertaken will have the goal of helping our team get to the next level with data analytics analyzation, process updates, knowledge, and will provide exposure to Service & Support leadership and key business partners.

    Throughout this internship, they will be responsible for streamlining reports used to drive strategic direction, extracting data from multiple sources, make updates to master data databases, and create guidelines for future maintenance. This will improve efficiency and supply the business with correct master data to help guide decisions and create areas of opportunity for future data.

    • Create dashboards and reports to optimize operational report out mechanisms for the Service & Support organization and Service Efficiency Team with a focus on Metrics and Progress Measures

    • Help identify inefficient data processes and reset expectations for maintenance of key databases

    • Knowledge transfer and authoring

    During the Internship, you must be able to:

    Conduct Strategic Analysis & Visualization

    • Analyze large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data and recommend insights for updates and maintenance

    • Use data insights, process knowledge and critical thinking to identify data corrections to be completed

    • Correctly update master data within the given database structure

    Build Relationships & Foster Change Adoption

    • Establish a collaborative working relationship with cross-functional project teams

    • Support the development of presentations that deliver succinct/concise recommendations to management team and be able to provide rationale / justifications behind the recommendations.

    • Ensure adoption of new tools, measurements, and processes by identifying, monitoring, and communicating success metrics



    • Interest in analytics, database structure, data cleansing, business operations; prior experience a plus

    • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint

    • Coursework in Database creation and maintenance

    • Coursework in statistics and statistical analysis methodologies

    • Coursework related to analyzing complex data sets and translating into business impacts

    • Demonstrated leadership, organization, group facilitation, and project management skills

    • Ability to quickly learn, dissect and support on an initiative in an iterative, fast paced environment

    • Demonstrated agility and ability to quickly pivot and flex

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, listening, and interpersonal skills

    • Strong ability to visualize data to multiple audiences of the organization

    • High attention to detail while multi-tasking on complex deliverables

    • Ability to quickly establish rapport with remote internal and external stakeholders

    • Act as a key contributor in a complex environment.

    • Excellent Verbal, Written and Communication Skills

    • The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without limitations and require no sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B status)  

    • The candidate is responsible for all housing and transportation costs. 


    • Rising junior or senior pursuing a BA or BS degree with focus on Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Industrial / Systems Engineering or related skills / concentrations
