    PROGRAM OBJECTIVE/SCOPE:

    The summer internship program within Global Customer Services (GCS) at BD provides the student with an opportunity to partner with peers, senior personnel, and supervisors who will provide informal mentoring and coaching towards success. Students will have the opportunity to be exposed to Support Operations and Customer Experience.

    Additionally, the student will have the chance to gain real-world experience in Service & Support, Project Management, Process Improvement, and Business Analytics. Through this program, the student will have the chance to gain real-world experience in:

    • Business intelligence systems and tools

    • Develop eye for business

    • Cross organization collaboration

    • Strategize on new insights for service offerings

    • Learn to work in a matrix organization

    • Project management principles

    • Healthcare systems and process improvement

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support in developing marketing collateral and value propositions for service

    • Creating customer-facing deliverables in a clear, concise manner

    • Interpreting data to make strategic decisions

    • Create process maps to find opportunities to optimize internal workflows, and leverage data to help advise strategic recommendations

    • Support monthly operational governance through facilitation and preparation of reports, charts, and insights to drive storytelling through the data and insights into customer sentiment

    • Help create plans to identify and address project landmarks using standardized tools to monitor and report on progress and impact

    • Analyze internal workflows for opportunities and craft recommendations based on data and process map discovery

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Pursuing Business/Marketing or related degree

    • Marketing Experience

    • Interest in project management, analytics, management consulting, process optimization, business operations; prior experience a plus

    • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint

    • Experience creating data visualizations, charts, & reports in Power BI, Salesforce or similar

    • Coursework in marketing, business, management, and/or operations

    • Coursework related to analyzing data sets and translating into business impacts

    • Proven leadership, organization, group facilitation, and project management skills

    • Ability to quickly learn, dissect and support on an initiative in an iterative, fast paced environment

    • Proven agility and ability to quickly adjust and flex

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, listening, facilitation and interpersonal skills

    • Strong ability to communicate and present to multiple audiences of the organization

    • High attention to detail while multi-tasking on sophisticated deliverables

    • Ability to quickly establish rapport with remote internal and external collaborators

    • Excellent Verbal, Written and Communication Skills

    • The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without limitations and require no sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B status)

    • The candidate is responsible for all housing and transportation cost
