MMS Virtual Summer Internship – Reporting and Customer Experience Intern

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE/SCOPE
The internship program within Global Customer Services (GCS) at BD provides the student with an opportunity to partner with peers, senior personnel, and supervisors who will provide informal mentoring and coaching towards success. Students will have the opportunity to be exposed to Global Customer Services operations and customer experience. Specifically, this student will gain experience developing dashboards, creating surveys, and leveraging operational and voice of the customer (VOC) data to drive actionable insights.
The CX Reporting Analyst Intern will support the GCS organization within our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) Business Unit by analyzing and visualizing data to understand improvement opportunities, creating process efficiencies, and developing customer and employee surveys. As an intern on the CX, Reporting and Analytics team, you will work closely with VOC and operational data, understand stakeholder analytics needs, learn agile processes, and identify ways to leverage data to discover opportunities for stakeholders across GCS. You will not only learn how to optimally leverage data for enterprise and strategic purposes, but also how to create surveys and new data processes to supplement existing ones to maximize continuous improvement insights.
Versatility and curiosity are critical in this role and the candidate will need to be well-rounded and just as comfortable developing and digging into the data as they are organizing slides and presenting on the data.
THE CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Partner with internal customers to understand stakeholder needs
Extract and prepare data sets from various sources including SQL Server, flat files, etc.
Develop visualizations to help explain patterns and trends in data sets
Communicate analyses and results to stakeholders backed by data and coupled with actionable insights to drive business decisions
Recognize and adopt industry best practices in reporting and analysis
Support the NPS survey program, supported by Qualtrics, and capture insights
Draw conclusions and prioritize actions/recommendations with limited data
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
Interest in dashboard development and analytics; prior experience a plus
Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint and ability to translate data insights into impactful presentations
Strong experience with BI tools ( specifically Power BI ), data extraction, data manipulation, and analysis
Experience developing and executing SQL queries
Coursework in statistics and statistical analysis methodologies
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with ability to distill large data sets into meaningful insights and takeaways
Ability to quickly learn, dissect and support an initiative in an iterative, fast paced environment
Demonstrated agility and ability to quickly pivot and flex
Strong analytical, problem-solving, listening, and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to visualize data to multiple audiences of the organization
High attention to detail while multi-tasking on complex deliverables
Ability to quickly establish rapport with remote internal and external stakeholders
Act as a key contributor in a complex environment
Excellent Verbal, Written and Communication Skills
The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without limitations and require no sponsorship for visa status now or in the future ( e.g. H1-B status)
The candidate is responsible for all housing and transportation costs
PREFERRED:
Qualtrics experience a plus but not required
Prior internship/co-op experience
BA / BS Degree: Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Marketing , Finance , Psychology or related skills/concentrations
May prefer experience with Windows Operating System and Networking concepts for technical roles
