    Under the general direction of the Director, Quality Management Systems,  the QMS intern is responsible for the development of planning and implementation activities for projects that support the GQRC QMS strategy.  

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develops, implements, and evaluates RA/QA QMS programs and activities to support organizational needs.

    • Record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables.

    • Responsible for developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project in conjunction with intern advisor. 

    • Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations and communicating them to stakeholders and team members.

    • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project and perform any required corrective actions.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Must be able to analyze and correct complex process and/or system issues of a broad scope using independent judgment

    • Excellent interpersonal communication, collaborative team work, and negotiation  skills

    • Ability to build trusting relationships with peers

    • Ability to generate and explain detailed proposals, schedules, financial data, objectives, and other documentation accurately.

    • Utilize proper software to maintain project records: MS Office, SharePoint, or Visio

    WHAT YOU NEED

    • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer

    • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. 

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

    • Ability to exercise independent judgment

    • Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

    • Proven leadership and business acumen skills

    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

    • Strong interpersonal skills
