Duties and responsibilities:

If you crave learning more about process innovation, lean management tools, digital transformation, smart automation, and more in the Operations space, then consider applying for the (MDP) where you can build on BD’s long-standing legacy of Med Tech manufacturing -- while building a legacy of your own .

The Manufacturing Development Program consists of three one-year rotations that provide a wide variety of work assignments with a primary focus in medical manufacturing and technology. MDP e ngineers will gain cross functional exposure in some of the following areas: process engineering, manufacturing, project management, planning, transportation and logistics , procurement, quality , design , and, most importantly, leadership . One of the foundational elements of our MDP is BD Excellence - our continuous improvement system based on Lean principles, methods, and tools, which you will have exposure to throughout your MDP journey.

Each year, MDP engineers relocate to a new U.S. location, allowing for a diverse experience with new products, processes, and people! To facilitate MDP associates’ rotation through three locations in three years, relocation support will be provided to those who qualify. Previous rotations include San Diego CA, San Jose CA, Canaan CT, Baltimore MD, Columbus NE, Franklin Lakes NJ, Sandy UT, Covington, GA, and Sumter SC.

Required qualifications:

Education

• B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Biomechanical, Chemical or equivalent engineering degree

Experience

• Recent Alumni: 1-2-year(s) experience in a manufacturing environment

• Must be willing and able to relocate three times in three years

• Strong desire for a career in manufacturing -- with an emphasis on leadership development

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction as to duration

Preferred qualifications:

• Exposure to working with a cross functional team (Capstone Projects)

• Prior internship/co-op in engineering

• Proven leadership skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• An ability to adapt quickly to new environments

• Passion for philanthropic outreach/community relations

$80,600.00 - $132,900.00
