Stryker’s Sustainability Solutions Advanced Operations team is seeking to hire a Process Engineering Intern, Advanced Operations to support new product introductions. This role supports the execution of assigned project elements with an emphasis on the manufacturing process, technology and procedures required for the manufacture of new products. This role will focus on the critical aspect of cleaning process development for the reprocessing of single use medical devices. Scope of work include chemical compatibility and cleaning efficacy for reprocessed medical devices, mechanical and/or electrical design of cleaning equipment technologies, and execution of engineering studies and design of experiments (DoE). This role will collaborate with internal design, regulatory, quality, and research and development teams, as well as external vendors. This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training. The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic. The tasks are generally routine and manual. The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations. Typically requires selecting between solutions already established. This job typically requires no experience.
