    Position Summary:

    This function supports manufacturing from the initial incoming of raw materials through the manufacturing process finalizing with the correct shipment of goods to the customer. Responsible for the department MES / SAP metric targets and production goals working with Product Line Coordinators and Scheduling Teams. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • SAP/MES discrepancy coordinator for department. Monitors warehouse activity, IDOCs and COGIs.

    • Administers work order reviews. Responsible for validation and verification support and ensures tracibility, financials and inventory amounts are reconciled. Assists the planners for all production support.

    • Provide root cause analysis for transactional and operational variances to include reporting, trending, and investigating issues.

    • Continuous improvement and sustainability activities including PIT teams, blitzes, and mini-blitzes. Also includes support of projects and daily issues as they arise.

    • Physical inventory lead. Responsible for leading monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inventories.

    • Member of the GBS team working closely with the SAP / MES Coordinator on plant goals and initiatives. Involved in establishing SAP / MES guidelines, documents, procedures, metrics, error resolution, guideline review and job aid support.

    • Provide leadership and support to the department SAP / MES users. Certified MES and SAP trainer for Production Execution and Material Movement and Logistics transactions

    • Owner of all CUP requests and associated C2C training. Certified as a DLA C2C administrator and responsible for correct assignment and completion of all curriculum.

    • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

    Education:

    • Associates degree required

    • In lieu of associates degree, at least five years inventory management experience required.

    Experience:

    • Two years manufacturing experience required

    • Inventory management experience strongly preferred
