    • General Opportunities

    IS interns will:

    • Work at the direction of the Global IS Build team member to improve business processes with existing and/or new technology
    • Apply analytical abilities to enterprise systems and data to bring insight to business issues
    • Writing SQL, R, Python scripts for data analysis and advanced analytics
    • Work cross-functionally within the business and Global IS to achieve the desired results
    • Project management including project status, establishing metrics developing processes
    • Update of team training documentation

    Global Data & Analytics Project(s):

    The Summer Intern could work on the following types of projects:

    • Marketing Intelligence – Integrate structured and unstructured data and deliver insights applying predictive analytics.
    • GX-Indirect Channel Management (ICC) - Build a global reporting and analytics data platform (Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics) to enable the reporting and monitoring of Indirect Channel Management process and compliance.
    • GQO Analytics - Build a global reporting and analytics data platform to enable leading edge BI and Analytics supply chain solutions (Procurement, Manufacturing)
    • Athena Sales Analytics - Build a global reporting template on Microsoft Azure, SAP BW/HANA and Power BI platform and roll it out to Stryker business units, in conjunction with the global ERP program (Accelerate).

    Examples of work scope:

    • Functional requirement analysis and assist with creation/refinement of end-to-end designs
    • Participate and facilitate testing (Integration, Regression)
    • Advanced analytics architecture and pilots
    • Enterprise data modeling, Data acquisition/transformation, reporting/visualizations
    • Assist with upcoming go live activities such as status tracking, validations etc.
    • Scoping and business case development for projects:
    • Help to consolidate, organize and potentially build visual representations (in Power Bi) of our portfolio and projects

  • Desired skills

    Education & Training: Computer Science, Math, Engineering or Business Information Systems

    Skills: Software programming/coding and analytics skills to be able to learn and contribute to BI/Analytics projects; Financial/business acumen; Skills in R, Python, Microsoft PowerBI, SQL Databases preferred.

    Requirements:

    • Currently working on completion of Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
    • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment
    • Basic understanding of computer networking technology
    • Experience with process mapping.
    • Proven leadership and business acumen skills
    • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal skills
