COVID-19 vaccination requirements

In order to fulfill our commitment as a federal contractor, while focusing on the health and safety of our employees and those that we serve, COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all Stryker US employees effective January 4, 2022, as well as all new US employees joining our company. Fully vaccinated persons are those who are >=14 days post-completion of the primary series of an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine. POSITION SUMMARY
Stryker is a leader in the Med Tech industry. We design, develop, and produce products that focus on helping caregivers improve medical outcomes inside the operating room, emergency departments, and even on the road in the EMS ambulance space.
Interaction Designers (IXD) provide critical insights and deliverables that help us define digital product and service solutions that are meaningful to caregivers. The role of design is diverse and includes defining the vision for the ultimate user experience, visually communicating strategic insights and directions of a development team, leading divergent thinking activities, and finally defining the final appearance expectations for product solutions.
Interaction Designer interns work on current and future products that are critical to our company’s success.
The design intern will report to a senior level designer and work very closely with a cross functional product development team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in product development activities in support of on-going development projects. Create plans and execute a design research project. Collecting trend information on product and medical design and present results to the design staff. Leverage design thinking methods and tools to define product concepts that can accomplish a successful user experience. Create mock-ups of product concepts to be used to evaluate and gain feedback on concepts. Use design skills to work with a cross functional team to create progress regarding the definition of products.
