    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    The Stryker DevOps Internship is an opportunity to grow your software development, DevOps methodologies/tools and engineering skills. You will be a member of our DevOps team whose responsibility it is to build and maintain the infrastructure of the Stryker products as well as continued feature and stability enhancements. Our internship is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and who will be continuing their studies in the fall.

    • Impact the development and manufacturing of cutting edge products

    • Implement new ideas, be constantly challenged, and develop your skills

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Configure and administer environments in AWS/Azure

    • Develop and maintain scripts CICD Pipeline from dev to prod

    • Full lifecycle engineering including analysis, design, development, and testing

    • Monitor, debug and troubleshoot operational issues, upgrade infrastructure (computer, storage, networking and application infrastructure components such as databases, webservers)

    • Partner with Engineering team on designing operational metrics in products

    • Work within team to get task done on time.

    • You will have the opportunity to participate and learn about working in an agile team environment

    COMPETENCIES

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Candidates should be seeking a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.

    • Understanding of CICD pipelines and DevOps practice tools

    • Experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting

    • Experience or strong interest in any of the programming languages such as Python, GO, Java, etc

    • Experience or strong interest in any of the configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet.

    • Preferred experience or strong interest in public cloud providers such as AWS and Azure.

    • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer

    • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

    • Ability to exercise independent judgment

    • Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

    • Proven leadership and business acumen skills

    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

    • Strong interpersonal skills
