The SYSTEMS R&D TEAM embodies this mission by diving deep with end-users, and collaborating cross-functionally, to conceive and realize category-leading surgical visualization and integration products that balance user needs, business objectives and technology advancement within the clinical context. The Systems team is responsible for driving front-end product development and overseeing execution with a strong focus on design requirements, systems thinking and user experience.
As a UX DESIGN INTERN, you will help to define the user experience, flows, interaction patterns, and the interface for products in the healthcare space. You will collaborate across engineering and Clinical/Marketing to assure the solutions align with user needs and business goals. An efficient candidate has a deep fundamental understanding of UX design principles and an eagerness for hands-on, real world product experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Pursuing a Bachelor, Masters or PHD in a relevant program and within 1 year of graduation. For undergraduates, we are only accepting juniors and seniors
At least one previous industry internship or co-op in relevant area
A portfolio showcasing relevant design work
Relevant knowledge of design fundamentals and UX Processes
A positive attitude, creative spirit, customer-focused driven, and the ability to give and receive creative feedback
Up-to-date with the latest design trends, design tools, and technologies
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
A collaborative, team player who has experience working effectively with others
Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
