    OUR UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY

    During the internship, you will work on select high-impact projects with well-established commercial needs. You will be responsible for leading your workstream and achieving results. Examples of previous internship projects include:

    • Competitive overview, positioning and messaging for a key competitive threat; analysis was presented to the global sales team at Annual Sales Meeting

    • Voice-of-customer analysis of ~120 MD inputs from qualitative and quantitative survey to develop positioning for a new product launch

    • Field messaging for 5 head-head competitive tests; developed work plan for future competitive testing including regulatory assessment, claims matrix and stakeholder alignment used to-date

    By working on high-impact projects you will gain a good understanding of our business and network with key/high-level stakeholders and leaders of the business

    GLOBAL MARKET PRODUCT MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

    Global Marketing interns will be responsible for supporting a project or product line. The emphasis is on learning the business, gaining confidence, proving sound decision-making skills and the ability to demonstrate leadership in a team environment. They will:

    • Understand and assist in the market definition, long-range planning, competitive intelligence, customer segmentation, product positioning, messaging, and channel management.

    • Interface with clinical, regulatory, operations and other cross-functions to refine the Market Access Strategy to enter key global markets

    • Gather voice-of-customer through qualitative and quantitative surveys

    • Participate in product development activities in order to build the future of Stryker products

    • Learn and practice the Big Picture Marketing framework in order to build a structure to marketing activities into the future

    • Understand SYK’s regional marketing and sales network and support sales and marketing initiatives

    • Establish key relationships within sales and marketing and cross-functional teams

    WHAT YOU NEED

    • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer

    • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

    • Ability to exercise independent judgment

    • Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

    • Proven leadership and business acumen skills

    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

    • Strong interpersonal skills
