Major Duties (Job Description)

• You will plan, engineer, implement, and analyze network modernization activities with special focus on addressing the complexities of native, cloud, and hybrid cloud architectures across the Naval Enterprise to ensure critical mission needs are met.
• You will solutions and recommend resolutions to customer and/or cloud capability issues, and review technical data and specifications in support of DoDIN-N operations.
• You will develop advanced tests and experiments to support network performance and security testing and analysis, and manage assigned tasks, projects, and areas of responsibility.
• You will develop status reports for assigned tasks, and travel as needed to support naval maintenance activities, understand network topologies, and install network monitoring equipment.

Qualification Summary

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band NO-05 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, engineering, implementing, and analysis of network modernization activities focusing on addressing the complexities of native, cloud, and hybrid cloud architectures; Providing support for network transport technologies, (i.e. Cloud, Building/Local/Wide Area Network (BAN/LAN/WAN), Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) , Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and, Cisco Internetwork Operating System (IOS)); Conducting network analysis to produce technical papers, briefs, and/or recommendations; and developing advanced tests and experiments to support network performance and security testing and analysis.
