  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will oversee government technical specialists, engineers and scientists supporting various projects in the Division.
    • You will perform and document necessary research, resulting in recommendations for employee growth and management.
    • You will plan, assign, and direct tasks; set performance expectations and evaluate employee contributions; approve leave; recommend discipline, awards, and promotions; provide training and technical and career guidance.
    • You will oversee the execution of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) C2 Systems as it pertains to the primary systems that perform data link management functions such as link control.
    • You will maintain consistent and frequent dialogue with each employee in the branch, not only facilitating monitoring of individual performance and tasking, but also identifying and assigning training, providing coaching, and acting as an advocate.
    • You will administer or perform professional and scientific work such as the application of, or research into computer science methods and techniques to store, manipulate, transform or present information by means of computer systems.

    Qualification Summary

    In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band NM-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Understanding the principles and concepts of government contract and procurement methods; Systems Engineering of C2 systems and major platforms/weapon systems that employ Tactical Data Links and applying engineering concepts to complex systems of systems architectures; and/or IT systems processes, project management and cyber security; knowledge of personnel management processes (i.e. hiring, promotions, awards, etc.) and assessing employees' performance.
